System Requirements
CAIRO is a client-server system.
There are three major software components:
CAIRO Work-at-Home Requirements
CAIRO Work at Home via VPN
Use Broadband to Connect
To run CAIRO at home, you need to connect to your school's network via a VPN (Virtual Private Network). Apart from slightly slowed responses, due to running over the phone lines, the requirements for the home PC or laptop are the same as for the school workstation. No other special software is required because CAIRO is operating in exactly the same way as it does when directly connected at school.
