• Why the name CAIRO?

• I need to print reports from a previous reporting period. How do I do this.
• I've entered my grades and/or typed my reports. When I run CAIRO later - they have disappeared! Help!

Administrative Functions

The following items are for system administrators

• I've added a new Subject but it does not appear in the list of available subjects for the current academic year.
• Each time I run CAIRO I get asked to provide the server name.
• When I run CAIRO I get a "Class Not Registered" error message and the program terminates
• When running Ternimal Services to provide remote access capability, when I run CAIRO I still get a "Class Not Registered" error message and the program terminates, even though the two .ocx files have been manually registered.

Unregistered Class Error in Terminal Services

One or Two files have not been registered

This error occurs because of a failure during the installation of CAIRO on the workstation. During the install, two system files are copied to the workstation hard disk and registered in the repositry of object available for use by Windows programs. If this registration fails, then the Class Not Registered error will occur when CAIRO is run. You can register the files manually. Instructions are here.

The manual registration will fix the problem on local workstations, but the issue may persist under terminal services. To clear the fault, you must install CAIRO on the workstation as a local machine administrator not as a network administrator.
