CAIRO Online Support

General

• Why the name CAIRO?

• I need to print reports from a previous reporting period. How do I do this.
• I've entered my grades and/or typed my reports. When I run CAIRO later - they have disappeared! Help!

Administrative Functions

The following items are for system administrators

• I've added a new Subject but it does not appear in the list of available subjects for the current academic year.
• Each time I run CAIRO I get asked to provide the server name.
• When I run CAIRO I get a "Class Not Registered" error message and the program terminates
• When running Ternimal Services to provide remote access capability, when I run CAIRO I still get a "Class Not Registered" error message and the program terminates, even though the two .ocx files have been manually registered.

CAIRO Support Answers

Repeated Server-Name Question

CAIRO stores the name of your Server in an alias.

• The alias is, in turn, stored in the computer's Windows Registry (a repository of system settings). If the current user does not have read, write and create access to this particular registry key, the question keeps getting asked because the setting cannot be permanently stored. The solution is to give all staff users the appropriate access to this registry key to fix this issue. Details of this key and how it is constructed are in the administrator's guide.
