Varying the Appearance of the CAIRO Website
This page allows you to select the style to be applied to this website. The different styles are based on the seasons: Autumn uses autumnal browns and oranges, winter uses cool colours such as white and shades of blue and so on. The styles use different fonts so you may find that one combination of fonts and colours is easier to read on your computer's monitor than another.

This style uses the autumnal colours and a larger screen font size. This may be useful for users who have visual impairment or who prefer larger screen font sizes. To revert to smaller text, return to this page and select one of the standard four season styles.
How is it done?
This website uses CSS (cascading style sheets) to separate content from layout. All text was prepared using a plain-text editor; no fancy HTML editors such as FrontPage or DreamWeaver were needed or used. Nor does this site use frames or tables. The navigation menu, mouse-over effects and layout are all achieved by CSS.
CSS is a useful technology. If you want to see more, visit CSS ZenGarden website. All Zen Garden examples use the same html text, only the CSS varies.
