The pricing structure for CAIRO is simple and based upon sites. This makes it a particularly attractive proposition where two schools, such as a preparatory and a senior school, occupy the same geographical location.
In describing the pricing below, we have tried to be as clear as possible. If there remains anything that is not obvious, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
SDS offers a number of Quality Services. Prices are based on a daily rate, plus expenses. Typical dialy rates are £350 per person per day or part thereof.
CAIRO is supplied on CDROM and most schools have no problem installing CAIRO from scratch using the comprehensive documentation supplied with the product. For those with limited IT resources or who would prefer to have us install CAIRO, we can offer an on-site installation service. This requires that we have unfettered access to the Windows Server on which SQL 2000 or 2005 is, or is to be, installed. We can also install CAIRO on a number of workstations, either using the distribution CDROM or, preferably and if available, Microsoft Windows Active Directory or Microsoft SMS. Chargeable time in-transit and onsite is usually one day.
CAIRO is simple to use and logically organised. It comes with a training and reference guide. Experience shows that teachers can be taught how to effectively use the system in 40 minutes. Training is also recommended for the system administrator(s). We can tailor the training to suit your requirements. Contact SDS to discuss the options.
As well as training for the CAIRO System, we can supply general IT training for products such as Microsoft Access, the Office Suite, Windows Operating Systems, Networking, Active Directory and SQL Server 2000/2005. This training is done in conjunction with our professional training partners, Merrill Consultants.
We can also supply training for assisting your IT to develop their own software solutions. A wide variety of development tools can be used to create, for example, database-driven informations systems, intranets and websites.
