512MB recommended)

Notes
CAIRO is installed on the workstations at school to be used for access to the CAIRO data.
Installation:
- Setup: For individual Workstation installation there is a Setup program, although installation via a single MSI (Microsoft Install File) is available.
- Automated Install: Installation to workstations can be done automatically using Active Directory or SMS.
- CAIRO is a true 32-bit Windows Executable (.exe) file. It is a compiled program, making it (up to 20 times) faster, and more secure than an interpreted system such as Microsoft Access.
- The application file is very compact (less than 5mb). This includes all of the administrative functionality as well as the data input forms, import and export capability and so on.
- Memory requirements are modest by modern standards. (Max 30mb RAM whilst running)
- A single copy of the executable can be shared on a network drive. By so doing, replacing this one file with an updated version upgrades all users.
Please note that CAIRO is not implemented using browser technology, so it is not directly currently supported under Linux or MacOS. CAIRO can be run on these systems under Windows emulation.
CAIRO has been proven to run under Windows NT4, Windows 98 and Windows Me, but because support for these systems is or has been withdrawn by Microsoft, SDS makes no guarantees regarding performance or stability on these older platforms.
